QA Manager

As a QA Manager you will manage the performance and tasks of the QA team and ensure
industry standards in processes are established and followed, aiming to deliver quality and
stability of the new code delivered to Paynetics System.

What you will do:

  • Establish a common process for test planning and execution, regular regression testing,
    writing test cases, test plans and covering with automated tests for each newly developed bugfix
    or feature
  • Ensure automated tests are included into the CI/CD process and run as required
  • Provide a transparent communication about the progress of the quality and test status for all
    current implementations, including key issues and problems, key areas in satisfying quality as
    well as such which not meeting the criteria, tests’ definition and implementation for all the
    currently covered implementations to the Management
  • Ensure the Release Checklist process steps are followed for the QA part and provide
    themselves (or ensure team members provide) a sign-off whenever all the steps are
    successfully completed
  • Plan the work and distribute tasks within QA team members to ensure timely coverage and
    delivery of the quality steps for the projects and bugfixes, according to the business priorities
  • Accountability for the performance review of the QA Analysts:

– Set and agree goals, objectives and KPIs
– Prepare development plans with each team member and follow regularly through the
defined steps to support their progress/strengths and areas of improvement
– Regularly hold 1:1s – weekly or bi-weekly
– Performance evaluation and feedback on quarterly basis
– Identify and agree with Management about KPIs for quality assurance and follow through the
progress towards meeting them, continuously improve team’s technical skills, the procedures,
and the planning of the QA tasks execution

Preferred (but not required):

  • Previous experience in mentoring / coaching team members (e.g. mentor, SME role)
  • Active participation in company projects or initiatives beyond the daily responsibilities
  • Previous experience in a Management role
